Something else to keep in mind as we are now in the early days of the 2026 wildfire season. Today, April 22, outdoor burning is restricted to between 7:00 p.m. and midnight only. Fires must never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished by midnight. Restrictions are updated daily at 2:00 p.m. during wildfire season. Always check before burning: beforeyouburn.halifax.ca Even though it is human nature to take pictures and catch some of the action in person, always remember to keep a safe distance from the emergency as to not hinder the important firefighting operations.
